A woman sustained serious burn injuries on Friday due to an underground explosion in downtown Pittsburgh. According to reports, an electrical cable failure caused the explosion. The explosion blew a gate out of the sidewalk and set the woman’s umbrella on fire. The umbrella melted on the woman, causing her serious burn injuries. She is being treated in a Pittsburgh hospital for her injuries.
